North Bay Village is a small island city in Miami-Dade County, made up of three islands in Biscayne Bay along the 79th Street Causeway: Harbor Island, North Bay Island and Treasure Island. Incorporated in 1945, it sits between the mainland City of Miami and Miami Beach, putting both within a short drive.

The village has a long history as a waterfront destination, once known for its restaurants and nightclubs, and today it is primarily a year-round residential community. Harbor Island is made up mostly of multi-family and high-rise buildings, North Bay Island is a neighborhood of single-family homes, and Treasure Island offers a mix of homes and condominiums. Much of the construction since 2000 has been bayfront condominium towers with marina and skyline views, and the city is developing a waterfront pedestrian path known as the Island Walk.
