Lazy Lake is a tiny village in Broward County, completely surrounded by the city of Wilton Manors. Developed beginning in 1946 by Hal Ratliff around an old rock quarry that later filled with water to become the village's lake, it was incorporated in 1953 when residents chose independence rather than annexation.

The village is designed for privacy. A single road, Lazy Lane, serves its small number of single-family homes, set among mature trees around the lake. Because there are so few properties, homes come to market only occasionally. Residents are minutes from the shops and restaurants of Wilton Manors, as well as downtown Fort Lauderdale and the beaches.
