Lantana is a coastal town in Palm Beach County, located between Lake Worth Beach and Hypoluxo along the Lake Worth Lagoon. Founded by the Lyman family in the late 1880s and named for the wild lantana plants that grew in the area, the town was incorporated in 1921.
Lantana offers a mix of beach and bay recreation. Municipal Beach Park on the barrier island has beachfront access and picnic areas, while Sportsman's Park and Bicentennial Park along the Intracoastal offer boat ramps and fishing piers. The Lantana Nature Preserve features shaded trails through mangroves and coastal hammock. Real estate includes single-family homes, waterfront properties with Intracoastal access, condominiums and townhomes, with I-95 and US-1 providing quick routes to West Palm Beach and Boca Raton.
