Key Biscayne is an island village in Miami-Dade County, connected to the mainland by the Rickenbacker Causeway. Large-scale residential development began after the causeway opened in 1947, and the village was incorporated in 1991.

The village sits between two major parks: Crandon Park to the north, with its beaches, golf course and tennis center, and Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park to the south, home to the historic Cape Florida Lighthouse. The Atlantic Ocean lies to the east and Biscayne Bay to the west, making boating, fishing and water sports part of everyday life. Real estate includes oceanfront condominiums, single-family homes, waterfront properties on the bay side, and townhomes, all a short drive from Brickell and downtown Miami.
